Description: The workshop will bring together rock mechanics professionals dealing with induced seismicity in both the mining and petroleum industries. Both industries share challenges associated with characterizing an area of interest to understand stress-field variations and the seismic potential of mapped structures. The workshop will bring together subject matter experts to share experiences gained in mining regions with rockburst potential and around injection wells where induced seismicity has been experienced.
